Rare WWII, WW2, USMC, US Marines complete HBT combat field uniform set.
The following items are named, but all are faded: uniform pants (named - DL Barq or DL Bark), tunic (with brass US Marine Corps buttons, named: DL Barq or DL Bark) and utility belt just n
amed: Barq or Bark, the last letter on each named item is just too worn to read.
WW2 items include: HBT shirt & trousers,
Bulova
wrist watch with canvas strap (not working), leather jungle combat boots by Corcaran, canvas utility belt with canvas canteen holder, canteen (1943) and cup by St Croix G Co. (1942), leather gun holster
with BB gun,
rifle shown on left shoulder is an old BB gun as well,
trench shovel with canvas holder (1945), canvas ammo bag, Kadin canvas Map bag (1943), mess kit with spoon utensil only (1945)
. Everything is in very good to good
condition! And everything noted here is an original WW2 item dated between 1942-1945.
Exceptions noted:
Shown in the pictures from the original Marine's son are Vietnam era (USMC 'moonbeam' flashlight),
camouflaged rear seam, swivel bale helmet. Both sets of d
og tags are WW2, but do not match the named uniform, two sets of dog tags have two different names not matching the uniform, one is a US Navy enlisted sailor and the other is an Army enlisted soldier, but both are WW2 dated 1943, and the qty. of 2 BB guns (handgun and rifle), yet all are included in this sale since everything displays well.
Sizes: Boots = no size stamp, worn away, Tunic = top shoulder seam to top shoulder seam = 19", chest = 36", top shoulder seam to bottom cuff = 22", Pants: waist = 30", length from top of waist to bottom of pant cuff = 40". Helmet has no size that I can find, but has original liner with chin strap. Helmet liner marked US 70, helmet marked 1-5641.
