WWII USMC ID'D SNIPER UNIFORM GROUP

Description

Offered for your consideration - a rare and well documented uniform, document, photo grouping to an H Co. 29th Marines Sniper / Scout, whom I had the honor of meeting a decade before his passing in 2017.
Included with this grouping:
Wool blouse and trousers. The veteran's name is penned in the shoulder. The pants are ink stamped w/ a different soldier's name, which is not uncommon. I never researched to see who the other veteran was.
A self-published compendium of articles the veteran wrote as a reporter and columnist with the Omaha World Herald for 39 years. Many of the articles are about his military service, including a piece he wrote for Memorial Day about the battle of Sugar Loaf Hill on Okinawa, when he was wounded and his spotter was killed. The first page is inscribed to me by the veteran.
A period photocopy of the veteran's discharge paper detailing his service (Pacific Area 1Aug44 - 29Jan46), Wounds Received (WIA 18May46), Battles (Okinawa, Ryukyu Island 1April45 - 21June45).
High quality prints on photo paper of snapshots of the veteran in the Pacific, at boot camp, as well as an image taken of a Japanese casualty.
Photo prints I took of the veteran holding his uniform (ribbon bars were still in the pocket), the veteran holding holding a riker mount of his awards, his dog tags, and a  die w/ his signature from his newspaper days. The veteran wanted to keep the riker mount and framed contents for his family. It is not included in this listing.
Four original unused USMC post cards the veteran kept as a souvenir.
