When you observe a Balsam Weather Stick you are a continuum of an ancient story and natural practice. Harvested when the spring sap begins to flow, each Tell-Tale-Twig is hand-finished for market when mud season is done.
The Maine Weather Stick is a natural barometer which has been used to predict New England weather for many years. The sprig will point up indicating fair weather and when foul weather is approaching the sprig will point down.
Mount measures 2.25" long x 3/8" wide and can be mounted virtually anywhere using the pre-drilled nail hole. The size of the sprig will vary since it is hand finished from Balsam Fir trees, but usually the sprig is 1' Long.
