WW2 uniform group to Lt. Joseph W. Clifton, 34th Tank Battalion, 5th Armored Division. Includes his named officer tunic with medal ribbons. The ETO bar has five battle stars. There is a 5th Armored and 9th Army patch on the sleeves and 2 years of overseas bars. Looks like there may have been DIs and/or other insignia on the lapels. There is a (well-used) officer's overseas cap. There is also an old cigar box that contains some items identified to both Lt. Clifton and his wife, some of which display the 5th Armored logo. There is also a copy of a 2003 letter sent to Lt. Clifton from a French officer enquiring about a WW2 action at Danguel that he may have participated in.
