Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) Souvenir Card B101, the Cherry Blossom print created for the 125th Anniversary of the Bureau.  This card is the original, u
nembossed/not overprinted version.
The card shows a new vignette of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing building, as seen from across the Tidal Basin in front of the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, D.C.  The cherry trees along the walk surrounding the water in bloom, and the result is a very attractive image.
Thomas Hipschen did the engraving on this piece, which is printed in a combination of offset and intaglio.
This card was purchased at the American Numismatic Association Convention (ANA 1987), individually hand-prepared and cancelled with the pictorial show postmark.
The card is in excellent condition.
