A Named Original WWII Willis & Geiger M-422a Size 46 , Excellent Condition.. Condition is "Pre-owned". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
I’ve decided to sell my original Pre WWII, W&G M-422a size 46 in outstanding condition. This jacket was the first model of the M-422a produced after the M-422 was discontinued. As a result it was made with silk thread and has none of the issues of the later jackets that were sewn together with cotton thread and can be worn with confidence . The jacket also comes with a limited amount of provenance about the named owner who was a pilot on the USS Princeton CVL 23 which was sunk at Leyte Gulf on October 24th 1944. The goatskin on this is typical WWII supple goatskin and its very nice. The jacket is a rare large sized 46 and is one of the nicest M-422a USN flight jackets I’ve ever handled .
