2000 CHEVY S10 XTREME EXTRA CAB. This is a loaded V6 Xtreme. I purchased it in March from the daughter of the original owner. Her father was in his 60's when he purchased it new. He waited until he found exactly what he wanted. Black/Gray and fully loaded Xtreme with the 4.3L V6. They were really hard to find at the time so he had to wait until one came available. He passed and his daughter got the truck with right at 117,000 miles. The dad always garaged it and did all the service work himself. When I purchased the Xtreme in March of this year with just under 129,000 miles. I have always liked these trucks and wanted something I can use and would look good at the same time. I was stoked when I found this unmolested gem in awesome original condition. No accidents, Never smoked in, Clean title. As soon as I purchased the Xtreme I took it to my mechanic and had a complete inspection done. He said this pickup was in excellent condition and needed nothing. Everything was original except basic maintenance items. Next I took it to an alignment shop. The guy that worked on it has an S10 himself. He said the suspension and front end steering parts do not show the miles on the truck. He said they are original and in excellent condition. He said this is one of the tightest originals he has seen. I soon realized it is way to clean and original for me to use on a daily basis. I found myself taking it to local shows through spring and summer. I did not want to put anything in the bed even though that was the reason I felt it was perfect for me. The truck bed was the only part of the Xtreme that showed any kind of ware. Basically it has scratches and some very minor denting on the wheel well humps. The bed mat has been in since new. The floor of the bed is in beautiful condition if the mat is moved. I just did a quick dry wipe for the picture. It will clean up great. As much as I would love to keep her she just isn't practical because I don't want to use it as a truck. That's why I bought her. Wish I had a place to keep an extra car because I hate to get rid of it. I picked up another car so this will not have the garage any longer.
I am a long time car enthusiast who has built and collected muscle cars over the years. I know what goes into keeping a vehicle in this condition for 22 years. This is a drive and show truck. It gets attention wherever I go.
Currently registered in Arizona as I live there and in California. Originally from Nevada. She shouldn't have issues with a smog cert in any state.
FACTORY OPTIONS:
4.3L V6, Auto, Tilt Wheel, AC, PS, PDB, PL, Factory Lowered, Bilstein Shocks, POSI, Heavy Duty Front and Rear Sway Bars, Fast Ratio Steering, AM/FM, CD and Cassette player, Black, Gray Interior.
EXTERIOR/BODY:
The Black paint on the body is original and in great shape. No clear coat separation which is common if the paint is not taken care of. Paint shines like new. She is 22 years old and has some minor scratches here and there as you would expect. She has a Satin Black vinyl wrap on the upper part of the truck to be different. It is called a Tuxedo look and gets a lot of attention. I pulled the complete ground effects kit off to have the truck completely detailed and ceramic coated correctly. When the paint on the truck was details it made the black on the ground effects kit look dull. even after they were polished. So I decided to have the ground effects kit completely refinished with fresh paint. That was exactly what was needed to complete the outside. When detailed I had all the original emblems removed and preserved. They are included in the sale and can easily be reinstalled. All lights work as well as the fog lights. I did not have the lenses polished so you can see how well she has been taken care of. I was still going to polish them to perfection if I kept her. The only thing I wish I had done is have the front bumper painted with the ground effects kit. The grill on these was not painted so I didn't have it done. They are black plastic. The inserts are sprayed silver. It is all original and looks great. There is a small chip on the lower drivers side edge of the grill.
TIRES and WHEELS:
The factory wheels needed new tires so I decided to change out the wheels and tires to be unique. I added a set of new wide tires and wheels. These are 16x8 like the originals. I used spacers to bring the wheel and tires out to the edge of the flares. I have the original Factory Xtreme wheels that she came with and they are in excellent shape. They do NOT need to be restored at all. One of the caps is missing but those are readily available. I also have the original lug nuts.
INTERIOR:
The interior is in excellent condition. everything works. Tinted windows. I changed out the factory speakers for Kicker direct replacement speakers. Amazing sound out of the factory stereo now. I kept the originals and they go with the truck. I also changed out the visors to the factory GM dual visors with the sliding visor and vanity mirrors on each visor. Again, direct bolt in with no cutting or modifications. The lights on the mirrors are not connected as I did not want to splice any wires. These were not available on this year truck. I have the original visors and they go with the truck as well. The daughter added an amp and a sub box. It was professionally installed and not bolted in so it can easily be removed. NO holes or cutting was done to install. Just wires added and run under the carpet. The original floor mats are still in great shape. The carpet is beautiful with no stains or discoloration. Seats look awesome with no stains or rips. The dash has a couple small cracks up near the windshield as they all seem to. other than that all gauges and lights work as they should.
DRIVE TRAIN:
She still has her original motor, transmission, and rear end. All in excellent condition. I replaced the spark plugs, spark plug wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, air filter, PCV, cleaned the MAF sensor, greased front suspension, changed the oil, and trans mission fluid. Rear end gear oil looked excellent. She runs excellent. The engine compartment I looks great. As nice as the outside. She does have a small oil leak coming from the timing chain cover. Very common on the Vortec V6. I just have not had the time to fix the leak.
SUSPENSION:
This has the factory Bilstein shocks, Factory heavy duty front and rear sway bars and fast ration steering box. This truck drives like it is on rails. If you have ever driven and S10 and then the Extreme you can tell the difference. This truck is made for corners. She is a lot of fun to drive.
UNDERSIDE:
No rust. It is all original underneath and still shows the original paint on the body portion. Not much to say here. All original from the cat to the muffler.
